Finally was able to get all the plaster removed from the walls and cleaned up. After bringing it to the dump, there was over 2000lbs of plaster in just that one 11′ x11′ room. I found the original entry door for that room which would have led it in to what is now the kitchen, also found electrical boxes that they plastered over at some point…luckily I have no power going to that room or could have been a bad day hammering away and striking that. After taking up the carpet, there was nice old solid wood floors, but unfortunately since the floor was not built level or even the same height as the adjoining rooms, I have to tear it all out to rebuild the floor properly. Hopefully I can save all the pieces.
